
I’m Joanna Randall, a certified Therapeutic Coach, yoga and mindfulness teacher, and lifelong advocate for personal growth and wellbeing. I live in beautiful Bristol, UK, with my two grown-up children and our much-loved dog, Tilly. My passion is helping people feel confident, focused, and ready to embrace change and find their own true essence whether that’s in their personal life, career, or overall sense of Wellbeing.
My journey began in the world of business and communications. With over 30 years’ experience running creative agencies, I’ve worked with high-profile senior executives and global brands in technology, property, and professional services. My expertise spans crisis management, corporate strategic communications, and reputation building—skills that taught me the importance of resilience, clarity, and adaptability, both in business and in life.
In 2010, I founded my own communications agency called Purplefish. After more than a decade of growth, I transitioned the business into employee ownership in 2024 - a proud milestone that reflects my commitment to collaboration and shared success. I am also delighted to have achieved B Corp status in 2021, a global kitemark and movement which advocates for businesses being run for purpose and people alongside profit. Purplefish is now one of the highest scoring B Corp companies in the UK.
Alongside my business career, I’ve always been drawn to wellbeing practices. In 2021, I founded Essence Yoga and Coaching, combining yoga, mindfulness, and personal coaching to support holistic transformation. For the past five years, I’ve taught yoga and mindfulness, helping clients find calm, balance and strength to meet the challenges of modern life. The experience of training to be an advanced yoga teacher practitioner deepened my understanding of how mind and body work together. This inspired me to train as a certified Therapeutic Coach, a journey I began in 2023.

It’s a powerful approach that blends practical strategies with emotional support, helping clients overcome challenges, build confidence and create meaningful, long lasting change through cultivating personal insight. Sessions are available online or in person in Bristol, giving you flexibility to fit coaching into your life. My goal is simple: to help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
When I’m not coaching or teaching, you’ll find me enjoying Bristol’s vibrant culture, walking my dog Tilly along the harbourside, enjoying being in nature and spending time with my family and friends. Life is about balance - and I believe that with the right support, everyone can find theirs.
