Dr. Lisa J. Lucas brings more than thirty-five years of experience in education to her work as a Therapeutic Coach, keynote speaker, author, and professor. Her career spans teaching, instructional coaching, school administration, and higher education, with a lifelong commitment to helping individuals unlock their potential, cultivate well-being, and live with greater balance and intention.

In her work as a Therapeutic Coach, Dr. Lucas helps adults release stress-driven patterns and create meaningful, lasting change. Trained in the Therapeutic Coaching model developed by Alex Howard, she integrates tools from NLP, hypnotherapy, developmental psychology, EFT, mindfulness, and life coaching. Her approach is both compassionate and practical, empowering clients to build emotional resilience, reconnect with themselves, and cultivate calm clarity in their daily lives.

As a Professor of Education at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Lucas prepares and mentors future educators, modeling the same principles of presence, awareness, and compassion that ground her work. Through decades of experience in helping professions, she has witnessed firsthand the toll of chronic stress, overextension, and perfectionism. This insight now informs her focus on supporting adults—particularly educators and caregivers—in moving beyond survival mode and toward sustainable well-being.

Dr. Lucas is also a sought-after speaker and facilitator, offering keynotes, workshops, and retreats for schools, organizations, and conferences. Her sessions blend research-based insight with experiential practices, guiding participants to reduce stress, enhance well-being, and strengthen mindful presence in both professional and personal contexts. Participants consistently describe her work as engaging, grounding, and deeply restorative.

She is the author of Practicing Presence: Simple Self-Care Strategies for Teachers and Better Days: 180 Creative Practices and Daily Connections for Teachers and Students. Across all of her work, Dr. Lucas holds a core belief: better days do not happen by chance—they begin with presence.
