My approach to therapeutic coaching is rooted equally in lived experience and psychological insight. In my own journey, I’ve rebuilt my life after trauma, chronic illness, and divorce.
One essential emergence from those chapters is, healing isn’t about becoming someone new it’s about returning to the parts of ourselves we had to disconnect from in order to survive. That understanding now guides how I live, how I work running my own company and how I show up as Mum, to my now adult children.
Having lived in Yorkshire for over twenty years I’ve absorbed the down-to-earth sense of community, which also informs my work.
Studying therapeutic coaching was part of my own healing journey. I had gained deep knowledge over the years, and therapeutic coaching gave me a way to bring it all together; not as a quick fix or cure, but as a way to meet life with more, self-trust and resource. It helped me understand myself in a more regulated, congruent way.
Before my own healing journey, I didn’t understand that my nervous system was dysregulated. For years, I couldn’t grasp what my own dysregulation felt like. Chronic illness, especially Fibromyalgia, finally pushed me to explore what my nervous system needed in order to heal. That learning changed everything enabling a deeper understanding of myself in a resourced and integrated way.
My coaching is based on life experiences and centres on helping people understand the emotional patterns that quietly shape their lives so they can realise what they truly need, to create the change they desire. A significant part of my work involves helping people recognise how their nervous system responds to stress, overwhelm, and emotional activation.
I support others in getting to know their own internal signals and rhythms and cultivate self-awareness.
I understand acknowledging the impact of our experiences can feel overwhelming or destabilising. Many people fear they don’t have what it takes to heal, or they believe their wounds are too old, deep, and complicated. I know how convincing those beliefs can feel.
My role is to help people navigate this terrain with curiosity, clarity, and valour. This helps them understand that awareness is not the end of the story, but the beginning of transformation.
I help people build the capacity to stay present with their emotions and sensations without being overwhelmed by them. I know from experience how enormous this can feel at first. I offer, attuned guidance for reconnection with your inner world, at a pace that feels safe and sustainable, supporting true healing rather than rushing the process.
Across all of my work, my guiding belief is everyone has an innate capacity to heal, whatever that looks like for them. My role is not to fix anyone, but to help them rediscover who they are beneath the survival strategies. I hold the space for people as they reclaim the qualities of themselves that were lost, silenced, or forgotten, allowing a life that feels more aligned, and deeply their own.
